For purposes of this policy:
- Reporting Party: A person or office submitting an allegation of a policy violation.
- Day: Unless otherwise stated, “day” means a business day when Midwestern University is open.
- Interim Measures: Temporary restrictions or conditions imposed pending resolution (e.g., no-contact directives, separation orders, limited access to facilities, schedule adjustments), which may be determined by Midwestern University in its sole discretion.
- Standard of Evidence: Preponderance of the evidence is the standard applied to determine responsibility, as explained below.
