A student can initiate a request for small group peer tutoring through their online student portal under the MWU Tutoring Program tab in Student Services:
- A student selects the Tutoring link and follows the prompts to request small group peer tutoring for an available course.
- Once the request is submitted, an email will be automatically sent to the Course Director, Academic Associate Dean, or Program Director for approval.
- A student requesting small group peer tutoring will be notified via email of the decision. If approved, the student will then have the opportunity in the tutoring portal to select an available tutor from the drop-down menu for the class in which they requested small group tutoring.
- A student who requests small group tutoring must regularly attend classes and meet with faculty for academic support prior to being approved for tutoring and while receiving tutoring.

A reminder, open group peer tutoring is available to all students enrolled in a course; no approval or sign-up is needed.
